Edna M. Booth

Edna M. Booth, 87, of East Springfield died Sunday evening, Dec. 19, 2010, in Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville. Born Dec. 11, 1923, in Wheeling, WV, she was a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Clara Constance Locke Tuttle.

She was a member of the former Amsterdam Moose Lodge where she served as a senior regent. 

She will always be remembered by her family as a great mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by two sons, Jimmie (Debbie) Booth of East Springfield and Gary (Donna) Booth Sr. of Amsterdam; five daughters, Connie (Joseph) Whitmore, Phyllis (William) Leas and Willa Hellyer (Paul D. Nitz Jr.), all of Bloomingdale, Paula (Keith) Fankhauser of East Springfield and Marcy (Mike) Gooderl of Amsterdam; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; a brother, Donald Tuttle of Sun City, AZ; and a sister, Florence Andrews of Newton Falls.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Homer Booth in 1971; second husband, William Sack, Sr.; a son-in-law, Brett Hillyer, two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be Wednesday Dec. 22 at 3 p.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home at Amsterdam with Rev. Christopher Leas officiating.  Private family interment will take place at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates.  Visitation is Wednesday from 1 p.m. until of service at the funeral home.
