Rev. D. Scott George

Rev. D. Scott George, 83, of Lexington, KY, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospice.

Rev. George pastored churches in the North East Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church for 40 years, serving churches in rural Carroll County, Freeport, South Bellaire, Scio and Steubenville (Finley U.M. Church).

Rev. George is survived by his wife, Clara Mae Stanley George; a daughter, Alice (Wayne) Rogers; a son, Walter Scott (Susan) George; grandsons, Scott Rogers and Benjamin Rogers; brother, Mark (Gaynalee) George; sister, Lu Grimm and Abbie (Pete) Gue.

Friends may call Saturday, Dec. 18 from 10 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. at Finley U.M. Church, 958 Lincoln Ave., Steubenville with Rev. P. Douglas George and Rev.
