Stephen A. Modranski Jr.
Stephen A. Modranski Jr., 77, of Amsterdam passed away Sunday morning Nov. 27, 2011, in Trinity West Medical Center in Steubenville.
Born Sept. 2, 1934, in Amsterdam, he was a son of the late Stephen A. and Ethel Teeman Modranski Sr.
He was a member of Sycamore Tree Church in Steubenville, Goldwing Riders Association, and was a past member of Amsterdam Village Council.
Stephen is survived by his wife, the former Naomi Coulter; two sons, Bob (Glenda) Modranski of Carrollton and Stephen (Lynne) Modranski III of Steubenville; a daughter, Nancy (Rick) Hearn of Amsterdam; son-in-law, Dave Rutter of Martins Ferry; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Bob (Donna) Modranski of Canton; three sisters, Evelyn McKee of Amsterdam, Marilyn Rhoades of Canton, and Mary Lynn (Larry) Ratliff of Richmond; and his beloved dog, Little Bit.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rose Marie Rutter.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 11 a.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Amsterdam with Rev. Stephen A. Modranski III officiating. Burial will follow in Ft. Steuben Burial Estates. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
