Ethel S. Papai

Ethel S. Papai, 88, of Dellroy passed away Monday morning Sept. 28, 2009, in Aultman Hospital.

Born in Bay de Noc Township, MI, she was a daughter of the late Edvin and Ida Berquist Pearson and was a Dellroy resident for over 63 years.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Morges and had served with WAVES in the US Navy during World War II.

She is survived by five daughters and four sons-in law, Suzanne and Allan Tozzi of Magnolia, Erika and Nicholas Ragaji of Columbus, Stephanie Magee of Los Angeles, CA, Alice and Michael Blair of Alabaster, AL, and Nancy and William Burkhart, Jr. of Morges; three sons, Carl, Paul and Jonathan Papai, all of Dellroy; 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death Aug. 20, 1997, by her husband of 51 years, Stephen P. Papai.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, Oct. 1 at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Victor Cinson as celebrant.  Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery with full military honors.  Friends may call Wednesday 7-9 p.m. at Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday.
