Johnnie W. Blake

Johnnie W. Blake, age 94, of Carrollton passed away Aug. 14, 2012, at the Golden Age Retreat.

He was born Oct. 15, 1917, to the late Seth B. and Lula Atkins Blake. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Mary, in 2006.

Johnnie was retired from Kaiser Aluminum and was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.

Surviving him are his son, Robert E. (Juliee) Blake of Concord, NC; daughter, Linda (David) Roush of Carrollton; sister, Betty Williams of Louisville, KY, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers and an infant son.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 16 at 11 a.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home in Carrollton with Pastor Raymond Stanley officiating. Burial will be in Harlem Springs Cemetery.
