Charlene Kay Beamer
Charlene Kay Beamer, 62, of New Philadelphia, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2010, in Union Hospital at Dover following a period of declining health.
Born Sept. 7, 1947, in Dover, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Mary (Hupp) Beamer.
She was raised in Sherrodsville and eventually moved to Columbus where she shared her life with her longtime companion, Harold McNutt. After Harold's passing, she moved to New Philadelphia to be closer to family.
She was a great friend to her entire family. She loved to cook and always had a large pot of soup ready to share with her brothers and sisters. Charlene immensely enjoyed time spent with her young nieces and greatly appreciated their tender and loving care.
Surviving are three sisters, Mary Alice Campbell of Carrollton, Eleanor Jean (Eugene) Huff and Donna (Roy Mast) Shaffer, both of New Philadelphia; two brothers, Harold "David" Beamer of New Philadelphia and Leonard (Debbie) Beamer of Coshocton and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and Harold, Charlene was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Carl Dean Campbell.
A funeral service was held July 26 in Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia with Rev. Hugh Berry officiating. Burial followed in Leavittsville Cemetery. Those wishing to do so may send the family a personal condolence and view an online memorial by visiting www.geibcares.com. |
