Alice Carson Thomas

Alice Carson Thomas, formerly of Bergholz, passed away at her home in Surfside Beach, SC, June 12, 2009, at the age of 82.

She was one of seven sisters and two brothers whose parents were Harold and Pearl Carson of Bergholz.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thornton Thomas; brother-in-law, Ellis George; sister, Betty and her husband Paul Moore and brother-in-law, Gene Dill.

She is survived by her sons, John Thornton (Shelly) Thomas and family and Daniel Ray (Susan) Thomas and family; sisters, Lela George and family, Martha (Lewis) Christen and family, Sara (Warren) Haney and family, Bertha Dill and family and Mary Lois (Bill) Banfield and family and brothers, John "Dick" (Mary Jane) Carson and family and Ralph "Ike" (Juanita) Carson and family and the family of Betty and Paul Moore.

A family memorial for Alice and Thornton will be held Aug. 1 at Gables Medical Center in Hopedale, where her sister Lela is a resident.  She will be missed.
