Leslie James "Boogie" Maple
Leslie James "Boogie" Maple, 62, of East Springfield passed away July 7, 2012, at Trinity West.
Born June 11, 1950, in Canton, OH, he was the son of Mary Lou Maple of Bergholz.
Boogie was employed by Apex Landfill as a rail driver. He drove truck for many, many years and had also been a coalminer. He loved spending time at the river with his wife. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with all his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, the former Claire Murphy; four children, Mia (Brian) Shuman of Carrollton, Katina Maple of Wintersville, Jamie Maple of Bergholz, and Leslie (Jessica) Maple of Mosinee, WI; 10 grandchildren, Saraya and Basia Shuman, Christopher and Keesha Leake, Kaiya, Kamryn, Ocyne, and Oaura Maple, and Blaze and Cade Maple; siblings, Robert (Donna) Maple of Carrollton, Valiant (Rose) Maple of Wellsville, Richard (Sharon) Maple of Byesville, Sue (Danny) Koterba, Ben Maple, Barb (Tim) Freeman, and Martha "Ennie" Workman, all of Bergholz; and a number of great loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert D. Maple Sr.; and sister-in-law, Mary C. Maple.
Friends and family will gather for visitation Thursday, July 12 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home in Amsterdam. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday. |
