Carl A. Kertel

Carl A. Kertel, 57, of New Haven, IN, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010, in Fort Wayne, IN.

Born Dec. 29, 1952, in Canton, he was the son of the late Charles and Anne (Jereb) Kertel.

He was a 1972 graduate of Carrollton High School, served in the Marine Corps Reserves and was a retired truck driver.

Surviving are his sister, Pamela (Joseph) Baxter of New Haven, IN; niece, Lauren (Steven) Davis of Greenwood, IN; and niece, Megan Baxter of Fort Wayne, IN.

A graveside service is set for 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 22 at Westview Cemetery in Carrollton. Family and friends will gather afterwards at the Days Inn Banquet Room to share a meal and memories of his life.
