James Alfred Davisson
James Alfred Davisson, 55, of Youngstown, OH, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2009, in St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Born Aug. 19, 1953, in Steubenville, he was the son of the late Donald Roy and Bessie Loretta (Robeson) Davisson.
He was a graduate of Carrollton High School in the class of 1971. He was a Navy veteran who enjoyed gardening, working around the house and his family.
He married Annie Crucian Oct. 13, 2001, who survives along with two sons, Donald James Davisson and David Edward Davisson, both of Carrollton, two daughters, Candy Davisson and her companion Nikki and Loretta Sue Yingling and husband Nick, all of Carrollton; a stepson, Garret Arthur Crucian of Youngstown; two brothers, Fred (Lora) Davisson of Ocean Springs, MS. and Clint Davisson of Texas; a sister, Dianna (Jack) Hardesty of Carrollton; five grandchildren and 13 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his second wife Deborah Davisson and an infant sister.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 7, 2009, at 1 p.m. in Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home in Carrollton. Burial will follow in Scroggsfield Cemetery with full military honors by VFW, DAV and American Legion. Calling hours will be Thursday, May 7 from 12-1 p.m., one hour prior to the funeral service.
