Verna May Geiselman

Verna May Geiselman, age 82, of Minerva died Sunday, April 17, 2011, in her home surrounded by her family. 

Born May 7, 1928, in Clearfield Co., PA, she was a daughter of Melvin and Ella (Fomich) Jays. 

She was a housewife and former member of New Franklin United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert G. Geiselman, whom she married Aug. 13, 1949; a daughter, Kathryn (Michael) Peddicord of Minerva; two sons, Roger (Deb) Geiselman of Canton and Robert J. (Donna) Geiselman of Minerva; a sister, Pat Haswell of Canton; nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Roger, Jeremy, Christine, Heather, Bobby, Shannon, Stacey and Tamara; and 13 great grandchildren, Robby, B.J., Jordan, Adelie, Aubrey, Alissa, Qwintyn, Eli, Ayden, Taylor, Alexis, Mackenzie and Sophia. 

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Long, Edna Ubanik and Donna Geiselman; and three brothers, William, Melvin, and David Jays.

Following cremation, a graveside service will be held Friday, April 22 at 11 a.m. in Moultrie Chapel Cemetery with Mr. Ralph Norman officiating.  Those unable to attend may register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
