Donald H. Beiber

Donald H. Beiber, 71, of Steubenville Rd., Carrollton died Tuesday, April 14, 2009, in his home following an extended illness.

Born Aug. 4, 1937, in Connellsville, PA., he was a son of the late Donald and Violet Frances Dixon Beiber.

He was a 45-year employee of Republic Steel, LTV and Republic Technologies of Canton.  After retirement, he was an employee of Lumber Service in Carrollton.  He was a member of Harsh Memorial Church in Harlem Springs.

He is survived by his wife, the former Shirley Long, whom he married June 24, 1968; a daughter, Jennifer (Wayne) Ferguson of Carrollton; a grandson, Evan Ferguson and granddaughter, Lynden Ferguson, both of Carrollton; a brother, Robert E. Beiber of Hopedale and a sister, Violet Hawkins of Hopedale.

Funeral services were held April 17 in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton with Pastor Tim Cashen and Kimberly Arbaugh officiating.  Burial was in Westview Cemetery in Carrollton.
