Glenn A. Smith
There will be a private memorial service for Glenn A. Smith, 92, who passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon, March 31, 2010, at Shepherd of the Valley surrounded by his family after complications from Parkinson's disease.
Born Sept. 18, 1917, in Conemaugh, PA, he was a son of Lewis and Ada DeGraff Smith and spent most of his life living in the Louisville and Canton area.
He was a graduate of the McKinley High School in Canton and worked as a roll grinder for Wean United until his retirement. He was a member of Eagles in Louisville and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows in Dellroy.
He leaves a daughter, Linda (James) Kiko Cline of Boardman; a brother, Herbert Smith of Canton; a sister, LaDyne Diekman of Hawaii; three grandchildren, Ryan (Jennifer) Kiko of Augusta, Joseph (Melissa) Kiko of Carrolton, Jennifer (Marc) Earl of Shaker Heights; and great grandchildren, Abby, Tess, Ben and Emma.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Furbee; a sister, Vada Haun; his ex-wife Mildred and a long time companion Dorothy Rutledge.
