Leota Rosalie Wetzel
Leota Rosalie Wetzel, 94, of Malvern, passed away Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, at Aultman Hospital.
Born July 14, 1915, in Malvern, she was the daughter of the late Charles M. and Myrtle M. (Lewis) Crawford.
She worked as a cook at Malvern High School for several years and was a member of Malvern United Methodist Church, the Grandmother's Club, and the United Methodist Women.
She is survived by two daughters, Wilma (Jack) Russell of Malvern, and Darlene Burns of Minerva; grandchildren Dixie (John) Hawkins of Carrollton, Scott (Jan) Russell of Minerva, Penny McDaniel of Wilmore, KY, Cindy (Hector) Guzman of Canton, and Alan Burns of Minerva; 12 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Wetzel, Nov. 9, 1990; sisters, Florence Josephine Flory and Izetta Hope Mason; twin sister, Leona Katherine Marker; brothers, Marion Lewis Crawford and Victor Claire Crawford; and grandson Kevin Burns.
Funeral Services were held at Deckman-Bartley Funeral Home Feb. 16 with Rev. Allen Hill officiating. Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery. Friends unable to attend may register online at our website: www.bartleyfuneralhome.com. |
