Esther Dennis

Esther Dennis, 86, of Waynesburg Rd., Carrollton, died Saturday afternoon, Jan. 28, 2012, in Aultman Hospital, Canton, following a brief illness.

Born July 23, 1925, in Augusta, she was the daughter of the late Russel1 and Ruby Noling Lozier.

She was a retired employee of Smith and Nephew Company of Carrollton and retired from operating her family farm.  She was a lifetime member of Mt. Zion Church, a member of the Lunch Bunch of Carroll County and Carroll County Antique Collectors Club.

She is survived by a son, Ronald (JoAnn) Dennis of Carrollton; a daughter, Patricia (James) Cale of Canton; four grandchildren, Kelli Baker, Kai Berlyak, Dennis Cale and Megan Cale; two great grandchildren, Haili and Hillari Baker; and a brother, Don Lozier of Minerva.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth in 1999; and a brother, Robert Lozier.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 11 a.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home in Carrollton with Pastor Mark Thomas officiating.  Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery in Carrollton.  Visitation is Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the funeral home.   Memorial donations in Esther's name may be made to Mt. Zion Church or the American Cancer Society.
