Carl W. Trego

Carl W. Trego, 82, of Carrollton passed away Jan. 12 in Mercy Medical Center at Canton.

A son of the late Russell Sr. and Fannie Sharpe Trego, he was born Jan. 16, 1928, in Akron.  He retired after a career in the Navy spanning WW II to Vietnam.

Along with his wife, the former Diana Gibbs, he is survived by two sisters, Nancy Valentz of North Canton and Naomi Weissfeld of Cuyahoga Falls; two sons, Jessi Trego of Sebastopol, CA, and Robert Boyd of Bosie, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters, a son and daughter.

Funeral services will be held Jan. 21 at 11 a.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home at Carrollton. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
