John C. Scarlott
John C. Scarlott, 70, of Carrollton died at his home Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, after a prolonged illness.
Born June 22, 1941, in Mechanicstown, he was a son of the late William R. and Katherine Harter Scarlott.
He graduated from Carrollton High School in 1959 and served as a Fox Township volunteer fireman for several years. He was a sergeant in the US Army from 1963-1965 and retired in 1996 from the Hoover Company in North Canton after 30 years service as a die setter.
He was a member of AFL-CIO, United Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and an official golden age member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2185.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, D. Jean Moore Scarlott of Carrollton; two daughters, Rhonda M. (Danny) Silva of Bush, LA, and Cassie R. (Larry) Herrington of Xenia; a son, Dustin Scarlott of Harlem Springs; six grandchildren, Britten D. Silva, Wade A. Geisinger, Gunner O. Herrington, Felicia A. Silva, Brooklyn C. Herrington, and Devlin Boo Herrington; a sister-in-law, Alice Scarlott of Mechanicstown; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Howard L. Scarlott of Mechanicstown, Glenn H. Scarlott of Alliance and W. Dale Scarlott of Mechanicstown.
Following his wishes, there will be no services or calling hours.
