Mary Jane Wingerter
Mary Jane Wingerter, 92, of Carrollton died Wednesday evening, Dec. 19, 2012, at Carroll Golden Age Retreat following an extended illness.
Born March 4, 1920, in Canton, she was a daughter of the late A.H. and Olive Cable Kloss.
Jane was a member of Carrollton First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and the Missions Committee.
She was a member of Carrollton Eastern Star, a 4-H advisor to the Little Women 4-H Club and a member of Carroll County Homemakers Club. Jane had served as a correspondent for the Canton Repository.
She is survived by three sons, David (Martha) Wingerter of Dayton, Dan (Diane) Wingerter of Carrollton and Jim (Vicky) Wingerter of Atlanta, GA; a daughter, Kathy Wingerter of New Philadelphia; five grandchildren, Beth (J. Scott) Lewis, Chrissy Galaise, Joe (Tavah) Wingerter, Jessica Wingerter and Dan Wingerter; and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, in 1997; a son, Bruce in 1984; and a brother, Jack.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 22 at 11 a.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton with Rev. Dan Loomis officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery at Carrollton. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 p.m. in the funeral home.
