Georgia Opal Young Norris

Georgia Opal Young Norris ,age 82, of Scio, died Dec. 10, 2012, in Bowerston Hills Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Born June 25, 1930, in Wheeling, WV, she was a daughter of the late George Nathan Young and Ruby Opal Wine Young.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and a homemaker.

She is survived by her five sons, Lloyd Richard Norris, Johnny Daryl (Shirley) Norris, both of Scio, Thomas Perry (Kathy) Norris of Byron, GA, Scott (Faith) Norris of Scio and David William (Lori) Norris of Barnhill; a daughter, Victoria L. (George) Tubaugh of Scio; 18 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Durr Norris; a brother, Lawrence Young; a sister, Nancy Putney; and a great grandson, Brandon Allen Morckel.

Family and friends will be received Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and again Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Jack Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in Warnock Cemetery.
