Josiah Thompson "Junior" Barrick

Josiah Thompson "Junior" Barrick, Jr., age 85, of Dellroy passed away at his residence Monday, Nov. 16, 2009.

Born Aug. 9, 1924, in Mineral City, he was the son of the late Josiah Thompson and Dora Mae (Williamson) Barrick, Sr.

He retired as Carroll County Dog Warden in 1990 after 16 years of service. 

He is survived by a brother, John Barrick of Magnolia; two sisters, Marylina Newman of East Sparta and Nila Marie Hendershot of Dellroy and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Doris Jean Huffman, whom he married Dec. 23, 1945, and who passed away Nov. 12, 1995.

Funeral services will be held Nov. 20 at 11 a.m. in Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home with Pastor Carol McCartney officiating.  Burial will follow in Leavittsville Cemetery.  Calling hours will be Thursday from 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home.
