David A. Staley
David A. Staley, 72, of Waynesburg Rd., Carrollton died early Thursday morning, Nov. 10, 2011, in his home.
Born Dec. 8, 1938, in Midvale, he was a son of the late Albert D. and Corinne C. Ricketts Staley.
He was a retired employee of the Carroll County Highway Department and collected and built Black Powder long rifles. He was a member of New Harrisburg Presbyterian Church, Carrroll Masonic Lodge #124 and Ohio Long Rifle Collectors Association.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Jean Shull Staley, whom he married Sept. 15, 1957; two daughters, Cheryl Daughdrille of Dover and Cathy (Allen) Corbett of New Philadelphia; a granddaughter, Leah Corbett; and special friends and neighbors, Leonard and Kathy Hutson and Dr. Donald Braden.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 12 at 1 p.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home at Carrollton with Rev. Elaine Dutton officiating. Burial will follow in New Harrisburg Cemetery. Visitation will Saturday morning from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
