Sharon K. Sutton

Sharon K. SuttonSharon K. Sutton, age 44, of 4 Main St., Dellroy, died Saturday afternoon, Nov. 6, 2010, in Cleveland Clinic following a long illness.

Born April 22, 1966, in Dennison, she was the daughter of Thomas Norman and Elizabeth "Libby" Roof West, Sr., who reside in Bowerston.

She was primarily a homemaker, and prior to her illness was attending Kent State University Stark Campus where she was studying to be a respiratory therapist.  She was an active member of the Kilgore United Methodist Church for many years where she participated as a lay speaker and a Sunday school teacher.  She was currently attending the Leesville United Methodist Church. Sharon was described by her family as an "amazing cook" whose specialty was her own pasta salad creation.  She was known as a panda bear fanatic, having accumulated a large panda bear collection.  She will be remembered as a very giving person who was a loving mother and was very fond of her nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a son and a daughter, William H. Sutton and Emily E. Sutton, both of Dellroy;  five sisters and  brothers, Mrs. Marvin (Karen S.) Smith of Sherrodsville, Thomas Norman  (Patricia) West, Jr. of Freeport, Guy Douglas (Birgit) West of Howard, Mrs. William (Donna Lynn) Bushue of Covington, IN, and Steve (Teresa) West of Dennison; numerous nieces and nephews; her fiance' Wilson A. Colton of Dellroy, and friend and ex-husband, Vincent Sutton of Sherrodsville.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Nov. 11 at 1 p.m. in Leesville United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerralyn Myers officiating.  Interment will follow in Longview Cemetery at Bowerston. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Nov. 10 from 4 until 8 p.m. in Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville.
