Grant "Leroy" Yost

Grant "Leroy" Yost, 73, of Carrollton went to join his beloved wife Oct. 18, 2013.

Born Aug. 31, 1940, in Carroll County, he was a son of Burleigh Nimrod and Hazel Ruth (Easterday) Yost. He married the love of his life, Flora Ellen (Beamer) Yost, Nov. 5, 1961. She passed away Oct. 14, 1990.

He was a car salesman for 40 years at Guess Motors.  He was a member of Church of Christ (Christian Disciples), the Eagles, Vet's Club and VFW, all of Carrollton; and the Moose Lodge of Amsterdam.  His hobbies included playing darts, Texas Hold'Em and bowling.

He is survived by two sons, Paul L. (Melissa) Yost and Rodney A. (Valerie) Yost, both of Carrollton; two daughters, Paula D. (Kenneth) Zippay of Carrollton and Corina K. (Robert) Haberley of Parma Heights; two brothers, Danny E. (Joyce) Yost and Dewey G. (Cynthia) Yost, both of Carrollton; two sisters, Nancy L. Smith of Largo, FL, and Dorothy M. Prohl of Carrollton; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Oct. 22 at 11 a.m. in Church of Christ (Christian Disciples) on Moody Ave., Carrollton, with Pastor Mike Doak officiating.  Burial will take place in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Sherrodsville.  Calling hours are Monday from 4-8 p.m. in the church and one hour prior to time of the funeral service Tuesday. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the American Cancer Society.

Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
