Lena Bell Wagner
Lena Bell Wagner, 97, of Bergholz, died Saturday morning Oct. 9, 2010, in Carroll Golden Age Retreat where she was well taken care of in her later years by the wonderful and caring staff.
Born Dec. 31, 1912, in Bergholz, she was a daughter of the late William and Mahelia McKnight Morrow.
She was a lifelong member of Bergholz United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and a former member of Bergholz Senior Citizens. She will be remembered for being a loving mother and grandmother, for her cooking, baking and for the love of her church.
She is survived by two children, Robert (Shirley) Wagner of Bloomingdale and Orpha Howell of Carrollton; a granddaughter who she raised, Diana (Steve) Glenn of Canton; and many grand, great grand and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Wagner Sr., Oct. 29,1975; seven children, Betty Santiago, Lawrence Wagner Jr., Lester Morrow, Geneva Evanosky, June Baughman, Gertrude Weaver and Clinton Wagner; and nine brothers and sisters, Herman Morrow, Eva Truby, Margaret Davis, Ethel Brownfield, Annie Reider, Beona Beadnell, Nancy Morrow, Roy Morrow and Jeannie Morrow.
Funeral services were held Oct. 13 in Bergholz United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Anderson officiating. Burial was in Bergholz Cemetery.
