Harry Horshok
Harry Horshok, 86, of Carrollton, formerly of Germano, died Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, at the Carroll Golden Age Retreat.
Harry was born Aug. 23, 1923, in Amsterdam, a son of the late Wasyl and Mary Horshok. He was a WW II Army veteran and a coal miner for Y & O Coal Co. for nearly 40 years. He also was a long time farmer in the Germano area.
Harry is survived by his wife, Rossie (Lusk), whom he married Jan. 3, 1953; his children Tyson Horshok (Jody Hennis) of Jewett, Rosebud (Terry) Howell of Kilgore and Tammy (David) Booth of Kilgore; grandchildren Tiffany (Corey) Ertle, Bryan Horshok, Samantha and Trevor Howell and Ethan Booth; three great grandchildren, Dominic, Damien and Olivia complete the family.
He is survived by his brothers, Pete Horshok of the Carroll Golden Age Retreat and George (Unie) Horshok of Lisman, AL.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters Mary and Eleanor and three brothers, Mike, John and Steve.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 15, at the Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Will officiating. Burial followed in Germano Cemetery with full military honors by the VFW, DAV and American Legion.
