Sylvia Henary

Sylvia Henary, age 86, of Carrollton passed away Thursday morning, Aug. 23, 2012, in Carroll Healthcare Center.

Born Oct. 21, 1925, in Oxford, WV, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Stella McKinney Hart.

She was a member of Carrollton Baptist Temple.

She is survived by seven children, Stella Young of Powhatan Point, Charles Richards, Jr. of Mechanicstown, John Richards of Carrollton, Doug Richards of Whitefield, ME, Teresa Jenkins of Mechanicstown, Ann Reier of Celina, and Steve Richards of Mechanicstown; 21 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; five brothers and two sisters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur; a son, Gregory; a daughter, Pamela; a brother; and a sister.

Graveside services will be Saturday, Aug. 25 at 11 a.m. in Westview Cemetery in Carrollton with Pastor Dave Powell officiating.
