In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ann McCartney; and a brother, Keith McCartney.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11 in Dellroy Nazarene Church with Rev. Dave Kessell officiating.  Interment will follow in Baxter's Ridge Cemetery near New Harrisburg where the combined units of D.A.V., V.F.W., and American Legion will conduct military graveside services. Calling hours will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the church.
