Hester Geraldine Strawder

Hester Geraldine Strawder, age 90, of Canal Winchester, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2011, at Winchester Place Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Canal Winchester.

Born March 17, 1921, in Huntington, WV, she was a daughter of the late Ezra and Vena (Devericks) Nicholson.

She is survived by five daughters, Dorothy Bake of Carrollton, Mary Pauline (Don) Swegheimer of Canton, Betty June (John) Kuzda of Cleveland, Daisy Flo Beddell (Dave Godby) of East Canton and Eileen Ruby Bowser of Orlando, FL; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Kenneth Strawder, who she married Nov. 23, 1940, and who passed away Jan. 24, 1960; a son, Kenneth Strawder; four brothers and a grandson.

Funeral services were held July 25 at Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home in Carrollton.  Burial was in Perrysville Cemetery.
