Raymond Howard Oyer
Raymond Howard Oyer, age 70, of Minerva passed away, Sunday, July 22, 2012, at his residence following a brave struggle with cancer.
Born April 7, 1942, in Kensington, he was the son of the late Paul and Blanche (Guthrie) Oyer.
Ray was a owner-operator truck driver and after retirement worked for Whiteleather Farms and with his wife, Elaine, at Hoopes Florists
Ray is survived by his wife, Tracie Nigro; a daughter, Kelly (David Barnes) Oyer of Waynesburg; two sons Dan Oyer of Kensington and Cole Nigro of Minerva; a stepdaughter, Torie Nigro of Minerva; a stepson, Lucas Nigro of Minerva; two sisters, Edith (Robert) Walter of Woodsville, OH, and Gladys (James) Whitehead of East Palestine; grandchildren, Sonnie Oyer, and Matthew Barnes; and four great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Oyer in 2002.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 25 at 11 a.m. at Bartley Funeral Home. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, 6 - 8 p.m. at Bartley Funeral Home.
