Julia Ondusko
Julia Ondusko, 86, of Wolf run, died in her home early on the Lords Day, Sunday, July, 19, 2009.
Born June 1, 1923, in Wolf Run, she was a daughter of the late Dimitri and Michaelene Repella Halkovich.
She was a member of the All Saints Orthodox Church of Wolf Run. She was a member of the Church Ladies Aid Society, Holy Mary Sisterhood and served as a Sunday school teacher. She was the Wolf Run Community Playground organizer. In her spare time she loved to bake and cook. She operated the former Wolf Run Grocery Store and was known for her care and generosity for those of the community in need.
She is survived by two sons, Frank Ondusko of Bergholz and Joe (Debbie) Ondusko of Amsterdam; two daughters, Vera Ondusko of Wolf Run and Love (Patrick) Levy of Miami, FL; two grandchildren, Nika (Charlie) Glenn of Irondale and Craig (Traci) Ondusk of Amsterdam; three great grandchildren, Aly, Nicholas and Logan and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ondusko Sept. 29, 2001; three sisters and four brothers.
Funeral services were held July 22 at All Saints Orthodox Church of Wolf Run with Fr. John Bruchock officiating. Burial followed in All Saints Cemetery in Wolf Run. Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Amsterdam was in charge of arrangements.
