Minnie Borland

Minnie Borland, age 92, of 648 Longhorn St. Carrollton, went home to meet her Lord Thursday, July 5, 2012, in Aultman Hospital in Canton, OH.

She was born Feb. 19, 1920, in Bucks County, PA.

Minnie graduated from Tuscarawas High School with the class of 1937.  She was a former Deputy Registrar, charter member of Kilgore Evangelical Church, and attended North Shore Alliance Church in Ft. Myers, FL.

She is survived by a daughter, Pat (Ronnie) Holland of Minerva; a son, David (Carolyn) Borland of Carrollton; three grandsons, Dr. Tully (Amy) Borland of Arkadelphia, AK, Rev. Tristan (Jill) Borland of Pine River, MN, and Titus (Carissa) Borland of Stow; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Genevieve (Roy) Howell of California, and Carol Baker of Gnadenhutten, OH.

She was preceded in death by her husband whom she married Oct. 25, 1939, Harold Borland, on Jan. 1, 1984.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 15 at Kilgore Evangelical Church, 8114 Germano Rd., (SR 9), Amsterdam, OH 43903.  Memorial donations may be made to Kilgore Evangelical Women.
