Harriet May Greer

Harriet May Greer, 78, of Amsterdam passed away June 22, 2011, in Aultman Hospital, Canton surrounded by her family.

Born March 28, 1933, in Canton, she was a daughter of the late Ralph Waldo Morris and Gladys Davis Morris Allen.
 
She retired from Fashion Cleaners of Steubenville and was a member of Amsterdam VFW Post 232 Ladies Auxiliary.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ralph Greer; two daughters, Patricia Hilderbrand and Denise (Kevin) Laney; three sons, William (Kim) Smith, Jeffery (Sharon) Smith and Daniel (Louann) Smith; seven grandchildren, Jason Flenniken, Jodi Conci, Brian Smith, Matthew and Steven Smith and Rachel and Logan Laney; four great grandchildren, Bryce and Neveh Flenniken and Nova and Grace Conci; a sister, Joan (Pat) Falkoski; a sister-in-law, Thelma Cassidy and a brother-in-law, Jim Greer.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clem and Ronald Allen Morris and a sister, Mary Howell.

Funeral services were held June 24 in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Amsterdam with Rev. Mike Thurston officiating.
