Sally J. Williams
Sally J. Williams, 75, of Lenox-New Lyme Rd., Lenox Twp. died early Friday morning May 22, 2009, in Jefferson Healthcare Center where she had resided for the past seven months.
Born May 14, 1934, in Kirtland, she was the daughter of Everett and Ruth (Gorham) Brooks, coming to the area in 1956 from Russell and moving to Mechanicstown in Carroll County in 1980, and returning to Lenox Twp. in 1994.
She was a licensed practical nurse working with mentally challenged children in nursing homes in Geneva, Rock Creek, Ashtabula County Nursing Home and retiring from East Carroll Nursing Home in 1994. She was a member of Lenox Federated Church, Lenox Twp. and Russell Historical Societies, and Ashtabula County Genealogical Society. She enjoyed sewing, crossword puzzles, helping with the family farm and being a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Paul F. Williams whom she married Oct. 11, 1952, in Garfield; three children, Jerry L. (Kim) Williams of Ravenna, Marie E. Williams of Salem and Karen L. (Jerry) Kelner of Jefferson; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a sister, Marge Grund of Ravenna and two brothers, Kenneth and Roger Bair of Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Thomas M. Williams in 1996 and two brothers, Bill and John Bair.
