Eileen M. Wood

Eileen M. Wood, age 74, of Malvern died Thursday, May 19, 2011, in Aultman Hospital.

Born Nov. 29, 1936, in Canton, she was a daughter of Corwin and Pearl (Manfull) Grimes.

She worked as a secretary for several places including Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation for the State of Ohio. She is a member of Minerva First Presbyterian Church where she was the former secretary and a 1954 graduate of Minerva High School.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Paul D. Wood, whom she married Aug. 22, 1954; daughter, Darlene (Bruce) Creager of Stow; two sons, Rodney “Butch” (Beth) Wood of Carrollton and Mike (Jane) Wood of Hampstead, NC; two sisters, Betty (Bob) Velthius of Germantown, MD, and Gladys (Kenneth) Sluss of Pickerington, 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Monday, May 23 at 3 p.m. in Minerva First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Barbara Bartholomew officiating.
