Frank Stavano

Frank Stavano, 81, of Roswell Rd., affectionately known as "PA" died Tuesday afternoon, May 15, 2012, in Aultman Hospital in Canton.

Born March 14, 1931, in Buchannon, WV, he was a son of the late Joseph and Teresa Pierce Stavano.

He was an Air Force veteran and retired from Wean-United Engineering of Canton.  His favorite pastime was following and attending the activities of his grandchildren.

He is survived by his ex-wife and best friend, Edna Stavano; two daughters, Sharon (Mark) Deitz and Lisa (Michael) Leslie, both of Carrollton; four grandchildren, Bria, Kyle, Makenna and Zade; and two sisters, Frances Leichtamer of Akron and Mary Mills of Canton.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Maks and Emil, and one sister, Janey Reader.

A memorial service in Frank's honor will be held Saturday, May 19 at 11 a.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton with Rev. Carol McCartney officiating. Burial was in Westview Cemetery in Carrollton.
