Georgia L. (Post) Berry

Georgia L. (Post) Berry, age 87, of Carrollton passed away peacefully in her home with her loved ones by her side Thursday, May 5, 2011.
Born July 26, 1923, she was a daughter of the late William Francis and Caroline Lula (Coffy) Post.

She was a housewife and mother and worked at The Scio Pottery for 13 years. She liked to crochet, work in her flowerbeds and go to her church.

She is survived by her husband, Harry Berry Sr., whom she married June 9, 1946; three daughters, E. Marie (Kenny) Leggett and Linda Brown, both of Carrollton and Martha Householder of Walnut, IL; a son, Harry (Lorie) Berry, Jr. of Mingo Junction; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Caroline Post of Monesson, PA, and Clyda Yates of Cleveland.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur Post and Francis Post; a sister, Grace Seal; a son-in-law, John K. Brown and a great grandson, Collin Lane Snair.

Funeral services will be Monday, May 9 at 11 a.m. in Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home in Carrollton with James Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Perrysville Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 4-8 p.m. and Monday from 10-11 a.m., one hour before the funeral service at the funeral home.
