Audrey Maxine Brooks

Audrey Maxine Brooks, 90, of Carrollton died Tuesday evening April 7, 2011, in Carroll Golden Age Retreat. Born June 20, 1920, in Union Township, Carroll County, she was a daughter of the late Edgar B. and Grace Bothwell Boyd.

She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women at the church.

She is survived by a daughter, June Davis of Carrollton; five grandchildren, Tammy Long, Todd and Tyler Warner, Mindy Domer and Jeremy Davis; 12 great grandchildren; a great great grandson and a sister, Lois Buchanan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Olan; an infant son, Ronald Olan Brooks; a daughter, Janet Warner; and a sister, Helen Shepherd.

Funeral services will be Monday April 11 at 11 a.m. in Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Carrollton with Rev. Carl Orphanides officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton.  In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made in Maxine's name to Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.
