Charles "Chuck" Monk, Sr.

Charles "Chuck" Monk, Sr., age 70, of Carrollton died Sunday, March 27, 2011, in Great Trail Care Center. 

Born Aug. 24, 1940, in Cambridge, he was a son of Sam and Bertha (Spencer) Monk. 
He worked in Maintenance for Ohio Poly in Carrollton.

He is survived by his wife, Velma (Jones) Monk, whom he married Jan. 31, 1962; a daughter, Roberta Lynn Swett of Carrollton; three sons, Charles (Ellie) Monk, Jr. of Sebring, Billy Joe Monk and Larry David Monk, both of Carrollton; four sisters, Ruth Masich, Jean Przybylski, Ruby McCray and Donna Myers; 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by a sister, Joy Elton and two brothers, Sam Monk, Jr. and Robert Monk.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 29 at 8 p.m. in Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating.  Calling hours will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday prior to services. Those unable to attend may sign the online register book at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com
