Kathryn "Katie" Evadene Lee

Kathryn "Katie" Evadene Lee, age 95, of Waynesburg, passed away Tuesday evening, March 12, 2013, in Great Trail Care Center. 

She was born in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late H. Arthur and Mary (Milner) Lee, and was a life resident. 

She was a 1935 graduate of Waynesburg High School and a graduate of Canton Actual Business College.  Evadene retired in 1979 from The Timken Co., after 36 years service, where she worked in the payroll department. 

Evadene was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church where she taught a children's Sunday school class for many years.  She was an over 50-year member of both Delta Chapter #539, Order of Eastern Star and McKinley Shrine #54 Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem. 

She is survived by a niece, Joyce Lee, of North Canton; a nephew, Robert Lee and his wife, Mary, and their children, Betsy Lee (Nicholas Singer) and their son, a great-great-nephew, Xavier, and Andy (Karlotta) Postlewait, and their children, great-great-nieces and nephew, Evee, Karli, and Jax Postlewait. 

She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles A. Lee and his wife, Ellen Jane Lee.

Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Centenary United Methodist Church with Rev. Stan Purdum officiating.  Interment will follow in Sandy Valley Cemetery.  Friends may call Friday 5-8 p.m. at Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Evadene's memory may be made to Centenary United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund, 6321 Waynesburg Dr. SE (Route 43) Waynesburg, OH 44688.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
