Neva Coleen Long
Neva Coleen Long, age 82, of Carrollton passed away Saturday, Feb. 28,2009, at the Carroll Health Care Center.
She was born July 7, 1926, in New Rumley, OH., to the late Roy and Florence Vernie (Gotschall) McClure.
Neva was employed as medical secretary for the late Dr. T.J. Atchison for 25 years. She was a lifetime residence of Carroll County. She belonged to the United Presbyterian Church on Second Street South. She was active in the Children Conservation League of Carroll County. Neva married George A. Long May 15, 1965.
She is survived by her husband George Long of Arizona City, AZ.; a son, Donald Roy Sell of Carrollton; a daughter, Mrs. Russell (Karen) Sell Virgin of Arizona City, AZ.; a sister, Nova Miller of Irondale, OH.; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ronald, Roy and Donald McClure and two sisters, Virginia Hugus and Pauline Bowles.
There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. Friday, March 6 at Westview Cemetery in Carrollton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzeheimers Association. Allmon-Dugger-Cotton was in charge of arrangements.
