Ralph V. Hawk
Ralph V. Hawk, age 93, of Kensington died Wednesday Jan. 12, 2011, in Aultman Hospital.
Born March 1, 1917, in Stonecreek, he was a son to Jesse and Lydia (Hawk) Hawk. He is a retired dairy farmer having operated Spring Valley Farm for many years. He worked at Transue and Williams. He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. He was a 65-year member of Augusta Lodge #504 F&AM, a member of Scottish Rite, Valley of Canton, former member of Stillfork Grange, State and National Grange, Antique Car Club, and former board member of Carroll County Farm Bureau and Soil and Water Commission.
He is survived by two sons and three daughters-in-law; Larry and Dorothy Hawk Sr. of Carrollton, Doyle and June Hawk of East Rochester and Mary Hawk of Carrollton; seven grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Nita (Beitzel) Hawk who died in 2004; a daughter, LeFern Hawk; son, John Hawk; two sisters; Laurie Hawk and Ruby Beitzel; two brothers, Roy and Max Hawk; and two grandsons.
Funeral services will be Sunday, Jan. 16 at 2 p.m. in Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Mark Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Augusta Cemetery. Calling hours will be Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home where Masonic services will be held at 6:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. |
