Five write-in petitions filed for four seats on Carrollton council

FPS staff report

Six write-in candidate petitions were filed by the Sept. 2 filing deadline, according to Carroll County Director of Elections Christine Vernier.

Five filed petitions for the four seats on Carrollton Village Council. The write-in candidates are:

Andrew Gonda of 120 4th St. NW, Carrollton, Frank Leghart of 352 Woodside Dr. SW, Sharon Ott of 332 2nd St. NE, Scott A. Velain of 278 5th St. NW, and John Yeager of 967 Thomas Ave., all Carrollton.

Dale M. Gallaher Sr. of 9168 Avalon Rd. NW, Malvern, filed a write-in petition for election to the East Central Ohio Educational Service Center Board from Carroll County.

The Board of Elections was scheduled to meet this Tuesday afternoon, after The Free Press Standard went to press, to certify the write-in petitions.
