Rosebud Mining Company will host a town hall meeting March 30 at 6 p.m. in the Carrollton High School gymnasium.

During the session, Rosebud officials will discuss the development of a proposed underground coal mine south of Carrollton on Penny Rd., just off SR 332 in Union Twp.

The company plans to use the room and pillar method for the mining operation, which will employ approximately 80 workers when the mine reaches full production.

The company plans to invest $30 million in the mine and processing plant.
The company plans to build tje processing plant near Scio at the intersection of SR 332 and SR 151.
