Health Dept. prepares for vaccination of school students

FPS staff report

Additional H1N1 immunization flu clinics are being scheduled by officials at the Carroll County Health Department.

The Ohio Department of Health has submitted another order for the H1N1 flu vaccine and the vaccine orders will permit the health department to administer clinics in all Carroll County schools.  Officials have scheduled Nov. 17 - 20 to vaccinate students.  Locations, times, and dates will be determined.  Please refer to the health department website at www.carroll-lhd.org for specific times, dates, and locations.  If you have a child in school, you may also refer to your school website for more information.

A community clinic is being planned for Nov. 24 - 25 for caregivers (people who live with or care or children less than 6 months) and also for pre-schoolers.  Please refer to the Carroll County website for times and location for these clinics.

As additional vaccine orders arrive at The Carroll County Health Department, more clinics will be scheduled.

The website will be up-dated on a regular basis.  Go to www.carroll-lhd.org to view clinic schedules.  For more information on vaccine availability, check the ODH Web site at http://www.flu.ohio.gov or call the ODH H1N1 information line at 1-866-800-1404 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday.
