The field of 26 applicants for the Conotton Valley Union Local School District superintendent position has been narrowed to ten.
The board of education will interview the following candidates June 11 and June 13, beginning at 5 p.m. each evening: Debra Haglock of Dover, Larry Elliott of St. Clairsville, Gregory J. Grant of Dennison, Stephen Larcomb of Marion, Adam Pittis of Cadiz, Gregg Reink of North Canton, Brent Ripley of Hopedale, Timothy Sherman of Newcomerstown, Richard Spindler of Chillicothe and Matthew Colvin of Coshocton.
The position became vacant with the resignation of Ryan Caldwell, who has accepted a superintendent’s job with the Rolling Hills School District in Guernsey County. Caldwell’s resignation as superintendent/ junior senior high school principal at Conotton Valley, is effective July 31.
Kevin Spears, superintendent of the East Central Ohio Education Service Center at New Philadelphia, is coordinating the search.
