School board to decide fate of pool

FPS staff report

Plans to proceed with the sale of the Carroll County Veterans Memorial Swimming Pool were expected to be approved at Tuesday night’s meeting of the Carrollton Board of Education.

A resolution setting an auction date of June 29 at 6 p.m. for the sale of the property on which the building is located along Brenner Rd. in Washington Twp. was on the Board’s agenda for approval.

Upon the recommendation of School Supt. Palmer Fogler, the sale is to include the property consisting of 2.037 acres to be offered for sale as separate parcels, in combination of parcels or in its entirety, and is to be sold to the best advantage of the Board of Education. The auction is to be conducted by Newell Realty and Auctions.
