The main topic of business covered water - down the spout and down the throat - when Carrollton village council met for a short meeting Monday evening.
Councilwoman Mary Ann Miller told members of a complaint from a W. Main St. resident regarding storm water. There are five downspouts that feed into the alley and previously the street department had piled asphalt to create a ditch for the water to run down. This is not working at this time and the water is puddling up behind the residences. Mayor Dave Flanary said he will have the issue looked into.
Village Administrator Robert Fowler told council he received some complaints about the quality of drinking water. He told members they are hyper chlorinating the water but there may be some discolor or odor.
