Carrollton High School’s spring musical, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” will be staged this Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, along with a Sunday afternoon matinee in the Bell-Herron Middle school auditorium.
Sponsored by the Carrollton High School Speech and Drama Booster Club, performances begin at 7:30 p.m. each evening and at 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for the Sunday matinee.
The musical is under the direction of Rich Jagunic. Sonny Sonnhalter is the choreographer and Debra Burkhart is the music director.
Lead roles are played by Ethan Harris as Joseph along with a host of talented young men as the brothers. Anthony Imes and Tyler Cairns assume the roles of Potiphar and Pharaoh, respectively.
Female leads are Krysten Abel and Hannah Kirk as narrators. Megan Jeffery plays the part of Mrs. Potiphar. These lead roles are supported by a talented cast of nearly 40 students.
Members of the pit orchestra, under the direction of Debra Burkhart, who also plays piano, are Shelly Yoder, soprano saxophone; Michael Brauning, drums; David Colella, bass guitar; Claudia Lillibridge, clarinet; Brian Husted, trumpet; Rich Jagunic, keyboard, and Judy Hall, flute.
The musical is being produced by the Carrollton High School Speech and Drama Booster Club. Tickets will be available at the door the days of performances at $8 for adults for the evening performances and $5 for Sunday’s matinee.
Booster Club members said Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a popular version of the Biblical story of Joseph and his 11 brothers. |
