Holy Week servicesCOMMUNITY
The Community Good Friday service will be held April 6 at 7 p.m. in the Believer’s Fellowship Church, located on Canton Rd. (in the plaza with Consumer’s National Bank).
The public is invited to attend.

Church of Christ - Christian
The Church of Christ –Christian is conducting the following services throughout Holy Week and Easter Sunday:

April 5 – 7 p.m.: “Encounter - Maundy Thursday”, an original composition of music and meditations bringing us to the Lord’s Supper through a first-person encounter with the Gospel of John

April 7 - 7:30 a.m.: “The Colors of Easter”, an Easter Sunrise Celebration presented by the church Youth Group, with fellowship breakfast following the worship service

 Easter Sunday: 10 a.m.: “Then Came the Morning”, an Easter Cantata written by Gloria Gaither and performed by the chancel and youth choirs under the direction of Tom White, accompanied by pianist Elaine White.

Easter Sunday: 11:30 a.m.: Children’s Easter Egg Hunt and family celebration

The Church of Christ - Christian is located at 353 Moody Avenue, SW, in Carrollton and can be reached by calling 330-627-4451. The public is invited to attend.

Resurrection weekend services will be held April 6 and 8 at Harsh Bible Church, 4236 Lunar Rd. NE, Carrollton.
A Good Friday service is scheduled at 7 p.m. April 6 and a sunrise service will be held at 7 a.m. April 8, followed by a covered dish breakfast.
A Resurrection Morning Cantata will be presented at 10:30 a.m. April 8. The performance will include a gospel musical arranged by Harsh Bible Church Pastor Ed Good, the congregation and a choir with the history of resurrection songs and scripture from which they originated. There will be no 6 p.m. service April 8.

The First Presbyterian Church of Carrollton will conduct the following Easter services:
April 5 at 7 p.m. – Holy Thursday service to be held at the New Harrisburg Church, located on SR 171, four miles from the intersection of SR 43.
April 8 at 8:30 a.m. – Sonrise service followed by a full breakfast at 9 a.m. and Easter service at 10:30 a.m.
The First Presbyterian Church is located at 200 N. Lisbon St., Carrollton.

Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church is inviting the public to participate in the following services:
  Maundy Thursday worship and communion (April 5) at 7 p.m. – “Transforming the Common.”
Sonrise Service (April 8) at 7 a.m. – Service will be led by the youth with a light breakfast to follow.
Easter Celebration (April 8) at 9:45 a.m. – “It’s Easter – but Mary’s Weeping,” followed by Sunday School at 11 a.m.
The church is located at 89 Canyon Rd. SW, Carrollton.

The choir of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church will present “The Night Before Easter,” a resurrection musical, at 6:30 p.m. April 7.
Under the direction of Judy Lippman and Emily Zbasnik, the choir will sing medleys of Easter songs. The presentation includes narration by Shane Abbott and Beth Zbasnik, as well as special numbers by Camille Felton, Mike Wynn, Jim and Susan Swain, Judy Lippman, Pastor Mark Thomas and Allyson Moser.
The public is invited to attend and join the congregation for  soup and sandwiches which will be served at 5 p.m. in the church basement prior to the evening’s performance. The church is located at 5230 Arrow Rd., Minerva.

First Christian Church of Malvern will present the Easter pageant “God the Restorer” at 7 p.m. Good Friday, April 6.
Directed by Mark Black, the Easter story is presented with a full choir and actors. The powerful story of the Lord’s suffering, death, burial and resurrection will be retold. Two fictitious angels named Demas (played by Bruce Rodgers), and Aquila (played by Missy Rodgers) tell the story of God’s plan for salvation. The scene is complete with Roman guards played by Kevin Crater and Bryan Jones. The audience will witness the sufferings of Jesus played by Ben Black. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. The church is located at 4046 Coral Rd. NW, Malvern.


A combined Maundy Thursday service will be held April 5 at Harsh Memorial Church a 7 p.m.
The combined Good Friday service will be held at Kilgore at 7 p.m.  Easter Sunrise service will be held at outside (weather permitting) at Harsh Memorial at 6:30 a.m. followed by breakfast.
Sunday morning services will be held at Kilgore at 9:30 a.m. and at Harsh Memorial at 11 a.m.

Carrollton United Presbyterian Church will hold a candlelight Upper Room service Maundy Thursday (April 5) at 7 p.m. with the Passover Meal interspersed with scripture, special music and communion. The public is invited to attend.
The church is located at 265 2nd St. SW, Carrollton.


New Rumley United Methodist Church will hold its annul sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. Easter Sunday, April 8.
The service will include special music, followed by a short Sunday school, a sit-down breakfast and an egg hunt for the children. There will be no 9:30 a.m. service that day.


Heaven’s Edge Apostolic Church at 11096 Brenner Rd., Carrollton, will hold a sunrise service at 7:30 a.m. Easter Sunday, April 8.
All are welcome to attend and should take a lawn chair. Coffee, juice and donuts will be furnished following the service. There will be no 10 a.m. regular service, according to Pastor Bill Grimes.


Holy Week services scheduled at Carrollton First United Methodist Church include a Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m. to include a time of meditation and prayer in the sanctuary, followed by an “Upper room” experience.

Easter Sunday services April 8 will include a sunrise service at 6:30 a.m., followed by breakfast in the fellowship hall at 7:15 a.m., and the regular 8:15 and 10:45 a.m. worship services. The church is located at 253 S. Lisbon St.
