Homecoming queen crowning
CHS Winter Homecoming Queen Katelyn Lashley (left) is crowned by 2013 queen Marie Newell.

Katelyn Lashley and Sage Graham were crowned the 2014 winter homecoming queen and king during a ceremony between the junior varsity and varsity Carrollton-Alliance basketball games Friday evening at Carrollton High School.

Daughter of Casie Palmisano of 806 Salineville Rd., Salineville, and Matt Lashley, Katelyn is a varsity cheerleader and a member of the CHS band and dance line. She also is a member of the National Honor Society, Prayer Warriors, Student Council and Spanish Club.

Katelyn was named CHS Student of the Month October and is a Northeastern Buckeye Conference (NBC) Scholar athlete. She is involved with Pathway for Kids and plans to attend college and obtain a degree in the medical field.

Graham, son of Penny Graham of 285 12th St. NW, Carrollton, and Ryan Graham, has participated on the baseball and wrestling teams. He is a member of the Choir, CHS Broadcast crew and Academic Hall of Fame. He plans to join the Marines upon graduation before going to college to study exercise science.

Members of the queen and king’s court were:

Mia Moore and Cole Russell, freshmen attendants; Kaitlyn Budinsky and Luke Leslie, sophomore attendants; Jennifer Gotschall and Tyler Dodd, junior attendants.

The king and queen were crowned by the 2013 royalty Marie Newell and Mirko Dobrijevic. They also were honored at a dance Saturday.
